Iran: New charges brought against female political prisoner

Iran-women in prison

New charges have been brought against jailed civil rights activist Atena Daemi in the Moghadasi Court because she had gone on a hunger strike.
This new charge was made after the heads of the Evin Prison and the prison’s Medical Clinic filed a complaint against her for “disrupting prison order and insulting agents”. On Monday July 26, Atena Daemi was taken to Court 4 in Evin Prison to see an interrogator by the name of Hassani.
Ms. Daemi asked the interrogator to bring a trustworthy doctor to the scene to testify regarding her health when she was on a hunger strike.
