The associations based inside of Iran depicted the event as the voice of Iranian suppressed for freedom and democracy in Iran. The public expression of support are ongoing despite the security risk involved for any Iranian people who supporting the main opposition movement against the Iranian government. They often face long prison terms and torture.

A message was sent from Tehran said: “Supporting the grand annual gathering of Iranians in Paris is to say NO to the Mullahs' regime in its entirety. Support for the Iranian gathering in Paris is to support freedom for all Iranian people and support for change of this ruthless regime and to replace it with a democratic system.”
